I doubt they would make the movie today but in the 1960 'Exodus' Sal Mineo
plays Dov Landau who is recruited into the Irgun. Landau is a bomb maker
who participates in the bombing of the King David Hotel that killed 91

There is a funny scene where Ari Ben Canaan, played by Paul Newman, is
masquerading as a British officer to steal supplies from a British depot.
Peter Lawford is a British major who informs Ben Canaan he can smell a Jew
a mile away while the Jews make off with his supplies.
IRL, after 1948 Irgun was folded into the IDF and the leader of the
terrorist organization, Begin, eventually became the prime minister of
Israel.
