Not on Debian and derivatives, it isn’t: it’s a package in the standard
repo.

Yeah, that’s Ubuntu for you -- trying to push everybody into those
FlatSnaps or AppPaks or whatever they call them.

You have other choices besides Ubuntu, you know.
