fuck ip6
We WILL need it, or something LIKE it, eventually
IOT, most of the world signing up ... IPV4 is NOT
gonna be enough.
But for NOW ... yea ... I disable IPV6. My ISP
doesn't even do it, so why suffer the probs ?
+1.
Its so radically different that I cant be arsed to go through a learning curve on something I don't need right now
Hmmm ... IPV5, with the usual dot notation ...
backwards-compatible intelligent ... that OUGHT
to cover it for a really long time. Maybe by
then we will have to bring space alien networks
into things, but perhaps they have the better
scheme eh ?
"Backwards-compatible", in this case, means the
software/drivers automatically appending a ".000"
to detected IPV4 addresses without user intervention.
