This is the truth! It is also this scenario that prevents me from getting a regular boat.

The problem with the kayak is there aren't that many interesting lakes and
they tend to be infested with power boats and JetSkis. The rivers are nice
but I can't paddle upstream effectively locally.

May all the power boats be damned! I especially like the ones who see that I'm sitting in a tiny fishing boat, and then they speed by at extra high speed to see if they can sink my boat with the waves.
I do think though, that the police took the boat. That would almost be justice. ;) They took my boat too, but I got it back! Actually it was my wifes fathers boat, but taking random peoples property is regular procedure in eastern europe.
