This is not a local sickness among politicians. In sweden, the politicians were all hyped about creating "green steel" asking the government owned (or part owner, don't remember exactly) steel company to "do it"!
The problem?
They would need their own personal nuclear powerplant to do it, since it would require half of swedens total electricity generation capacity to create said "green steel". ;)
Swedens government has now decided that sweden shall have new, working nuclear power in 10 years.
I would bet several hundred euros against this being done on time.
