Missoula. Several of the open space areas are closed during to winter
months to preserve the elk winter range.
A fwe years ago a moose made the news when it was wandering around the
city. Bears, mountain lions, and deer are common, but the moose was an
oddity. Apparently he was following the river and got off course.
With the exception of grizzlies, moose are what I prefer not to meet in
the woods. They're big, dumb, and can be aggressive.
This county is well stocked with socialists and so forth, a blue dot in
the sea of red. They're rather upset lately.
