Other people have. Google DHCP RFC. There surely is other
documentation available that shows communication diagrams and outlines
which parts of the exchange are broadcast (and thus need an agent to
cross broadcast domain boundaries) and which parts are unicast (to
which boring IP routing applies).
So I think that
criticism applies more to you than me.
My life is too short to explain a complex protocol to a person who
suffers from knowledge resistance ("Lernresistenz" in my language).
