Not a bit surprising. Those who escaped the gas ovens and found refuge in
the US and elsewhere tried to tell their new compatriots about what was

Sound familiar? A similar story with Saddam Hussein. Only this right-wing
dictator was seen as a bulwark against the Islamic fundamentalists in
Iran.

And history is repeating itself yet again today. All those pious
platitudes about “never again” are proving to be just hot air ...
