No. After a couple of more empires, Napoleon, the Return of the Bourbons,
another revolution and taking a beating in the Franco-Prussian War, WWI,
WWII, and losing all its colonies the country survived. It even has
survived Macron.
 
 

Just watched a movie, maybe “Lost Command”, about the dirty war in Algeria.
It really was a mess. I worked with a guy who was a para in Algeria, and
now I see why he never spoke about it.
