He was legendary. His crew used to joke that the storms would see him
coming and turn aside. ;)
Trouble is, he wasn’t loyal enough to the Nazi regime. So he got replaced
by a less experienced captain on that fateful last voyage of the
Hindenburg. And the rest is (sadly) history ...
