Not to mention, it doesn’t work.
Here in NZ, a prior Government led by the same party that’s one of those
in power now tried it, without making a dent in the crime rate. Some in
the current coalition want to try it again, claiming it’ll somehow be
different this time, only the same idea, but not the same idea, or
something.
One of the party leaders keeps going on about adopting policies that are
“evidence-based”, but right-wingers inevitably interpret “evidence-based”
to mean “agrees with our ideology”.
