They are also far wealthier, live longer, more offspring survive, etc. Also note that it is possible to work less, if one is willing to trade some of the above.
Another interesting aspect is that America doesn't have to be the ultimate standard of comparison. If someone wants to work less, they can always move to northern europe.
Last, but not least, what is work? I'm sure that if you measure _effective_ work, you'll find the difference between a medieval peasant and a modern american far smaller, when coffee breaks, smoking breaks, vacations, are deducted.

In parallel we need to up research when it comes to positive psychology,
and people expectations will also adapt. I sent another post outlining
some professions that will also, always be present.

I think that sounds a bit derogatory. I believe that a lot of what you say depends on culture and societys expectations. With a healthy education system and a healthy society a lot of them would become nice, productive human beings.
