I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I've driven a million miles in
the US and Canada, with a few in Mexico. I've hiked everywhere from the
mandrake swamps at the tip of Florida to the rain forests on the Olympic
peninsula of Washington state.

could see it from Prince Rupert BC to paraphrase Sarah Palin.
I'm more interested in land forms and ecosystems than man made artifacts
and North America has plenty of variety for me.
