"conservative" politicians and their family members with a similar
feeling that no particular knowledge experience or subject matter
expertise is required to be Defense secretary, Director of National
Intelligence, ambassador to Israel or something.

This is incorrect. Conservatives are always smart, polite and very beautiful people. Woke liberals are much more often homos, which is not so good. I invite everyone to look at the woke disaster that is sweden for an example of how quickly a country can go to hell if wokeness remains unchallenged.
