This is very good information. I will do my absolute best to avoid Spirit air next time I go to the US!

As a libertarian, you should hate them even more, because they do their
very best to milk government subsidies; they like to fly in and out of
tiny regional airports attracted there by regional development agencies
that want to bost that they village airport has international airline
service.

This is the truth! I do not like companies milking the government for subsidies and money. As a libertarian, I am against parts of amazon and parts of facebook, google & co as well.

There was one saving grace... a very beautiful female flight attendant who
let me sit next to my wife, so she could decrease my suffering. Before
landing she shooed me away so as not to affect the balance of the 737
(BS!) and I said that of course I have to take my bag and coat so as not
to "affect the balance" or else I would be afraid of the plane crashing.
