There is, as they say, no such thing as a free lunch. Much of the gain
we've seen in raw performance over the last 50 years is down to making
things both smaller and more power-efficient, and more efficient design-
wise, using simpler designs that can run faster. But when you've gone as
small as you can go, and there's no inefficiencies left to trim...?
That's where things will get *really* interesting...
