fwiw upgrading my Fedora box from 41 to the 42 pre-releae KDE Plasma
version for Fedora Test Days went well.
After upgrading to 41 I noticed my fedora box had some rawhide packages installed (presumably I'm responsible, but I haven't wanted to use it for about a decade, so disabled repos)
It still runs fine, but I'm expecting the upgrade to 42 to be "interesting"
41 is "good". Hopefully 42 will be equally good - but,
these days, it's maybe better to wait for a .1 release -
they tend to launch a tad TOO soon of late. BookWorm
was the same way - indeed seemed DEDICATED to making
sure the stuff I used most wouldn't work :-) Also way
too 'Buntu ... who the hell did they hire ??? Deb is
supposed to be 'core', 'the foundation', boring but
super solid/consistent.
