  I agree about Poettering but great thing about GNU/Linux distributions is that you do not have to use softwarer you don't
like.  Also KDE is painful for the users as they are apt to produce
the next version before the full system has been worked out. But I
started with the AmigaOS and KDE lets me come close to the same workflow.

I have bitten the bullet with systemd not because it is in any way superior, but because all distros are moving towards it and the bugs are being ironed out and its just become as new standard.
I never liked X-windows or PostScript either. Or X.400 or X.25.
A printer that needed more processing power than the computer it was attached to seemed like an obscenity to me
