That is what the developer thinks.
But it is not so.
$ type lawrence.c
#include <stdio.h>
int foobar()
{
     printf("Hi Lawrence\n");
     return 1;
}
$ cc lawrence
$ link/share  lawrence
$ run lawrence
Hi Lawrence
No main() and it runs anyway.
