Dear friends of VMS,
The second issue of our news letter is already here.
We hope you'll enjoy it. And we look forward to receiving your feedback.

It's very good that you highlighted the issue of bare metal.
Everyone wants it - VMS in rugged, hairs on chest, chug a lug Solo,
macho-boffo, bare metal mode, rather than mincing Hypervisor drag (not
that there's anything wrong with that! - horses for courses!)
However, VSI are being prissy, dithering, fusspots, apparently - very
leery of opening a Pandora's box of device driver requests - something
the VMS ecosystem could provide for and assist with.
So the VMSgenerations group could do a VSI a very big favour and choose
two board (one Intel based, one AMD based) candidates, that
VMSgenerations and their affiliate community would be very happy to have
as bare metal targets, to invest in, once VSI certifies them.
Vendor lockdown? - meh! - who cares! - Just get the ball rolling, and
ensure that any in the existing VMS shop community is not tempted to
migrate away - for any such migration is a permanent loss to the VMS
ecosystem and a permanent amputation from the VSI income stream.
Once VSI mind their P's and Q's and patch their EULA's accordingly, to
cover their assets, everything will be tickety-boo, and everyone will be
a lot happier.
Of course, I'd still love to see bare metal VSI/VMS on the Frame.Work
laptops, but I'm not holding my breath, or crossing my legs...
BTB, Frame.Work now have an absolute killer desktop configuration as well:
