What is interesting is how some same word spellings are pronounced
differently depending on which European country you are in.
Different languages have totally different "sound style" - not
particular surprising that the same word may be pronounced
differently. Some words are close to impossible to pronounce in
some languages.
What is weird is that in English many cities got very different
spelling of names than in their native language - more different
than what is warranted by differences in alphabets.
København - Copenhagen
München - Munich
Köln - Cologne
Firenze - Florence
etc.
