Yup.  There's a reason that many folks have given up on trying
to use Linux for professional-level work requiring a graphical
environment.  My tools of choice at the time, after the SunOS
and DEC Windows era, was FreeBSD and Plan 9.  But it's just not
as cohesive as my Mac.  And when your job involves relying on
tools like KiCad, it's just a bette way to go.
