Get a hold of Morello Board isn't easy, though, and most of the

Oh boy, I had totally forgotten about that work and I had thought
in the past it was just a research project that unfortunately had
not gone anywhere. It's interesting (to put it mildly!) to see
something viable might come out of this work after all.

It isn't going anywhere /quickly/. My employer was offered a Morello
board for six months in 2021 or '22. We concluded that while it would be
interesting, there were more immediate commercial priorities. We'd need
enough hardware, indefinitely, to run all our production testing to keep
a CHERI build going, and that wasn't on offer.

That was 4 or 5 years ago; I wonder how the situation is
different now, if at all.

I see some uptick in the availability of CHERI based hardware;
whether it's enough for industrial uptake, I don't know.
OpenTitan, SCI Semiconductor, et al, seem bullish on it, but
they all seem focused on the embedded space right now.
