Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic.
It's been a long time, though the only other time I played it, it was
long after it was originally out. I started running WEG 1e D6 Star Wars
RPG, so felt like playing this again to get me more in the mood. Still
a great game!
Agreed. KOTOR is dated, but fun. My biggest issue with the game has
more to do with the fact that I've replayed it so often that there are
no surprises left in the game for me. There's no sense of exploration
or discovery left when I play anymore. But I can hardly blame the game
for that.
It's nice to see that new-Star Wars is still pulling ideas from these
classic games (for instance, there's mention of the Rakatan empire
--initially created for KOTOR-- in the lastest episodes of "Star Wars
Andor". If I have one complaint with the game its the game's
fascination with Jedi. I'm so _tired_ of the Jedi being central to
everything in the Star Wars universe. That the game started with you
being just a schlub felt so novel, but <ROT13 for spoilers>
