Accept no substitutes! Sure we're at the start of a new year, but
forget about looking ahead. Look back, and tell us all what games kept
you occupied during the busy, busy holiday season!
Shall I go first? Oh, I think I shall!
Just The Names
---------------------------------------
* Metal Hellsinger
Yeah. Mediocre, I didn't play it long.
* The Hunter - Call of the Wild: Salzwiesen Park DLC
I've never been interested in hunting games, fishing on the other hand. Not sure why that is. Perhaps as I went fishing with my beloved Grandpa a few times when I was a kid. I feel bad I never brought my kids fishing, but it's been a long time, and frankly the real thing is boring as hell.
* The Invincible
I keep thinking when I see this "An Invincible game!" I loved the last one, I must play it! Then realize it has nothing to do with the Amazon cartoon. :(
* Trek to Yomi
Might be interesting, outside my usual likes, though I have watched some Kurosawa and enjoyed.
And you? How was your month, especially regarding the gaming aspects?
Because what we really want to know is:
What Have You Been Playing... IN DECEMBER 2024?
Pretty much the same
* EDF 6
On last mission I think, waiting for daughter to get the bug again, finished all missions with all 4 classes up to that point. Favorites are Wing Diver > Air Raider > Fencer. Air Raider actually might be better than Wing Diver after the first half though, once you have a good mech and learn how to properly use attack drones. I didn't fail a mission in the last 50 missions once, unlike the others.
* Demon Souls (PS5)
Not much, not really interesting me other than so I can say I completed it. Semi stuck on a confusing area, I know I can eventually get through it either through trudging through repeatedly or looking up a walk-through. I did look briefly at one as I couldn't figure out what to do at one point there.
* Dark Souls 3
Trying a new pyro going for dark hybrid, but the lower co-op/pvp population is frustrating. PVP population seems way more skilled, I don't think I've won a PVP in ages other than someone dying to gravity when I wasn't even on screen in the last few days. I assume only the hard core is left.
Still reading a lot, I thought I'd be playing more. Ran across this one which tends to be very wordy, and is just set up the first couple chapters then it really gets into it, it occasionally gets a bit wordy after that too. I does follow a mage though, they tend to be wordy. It's obviously written by someone who's played D&D to know some (now) obscure spells and monsters. Obviously they've expanded and changed stuff, which makes me think about house rules and setting. It's the #1 rated completed book on the site:
