No, not old trousers, but old threads from this group from 15+ years
ago.
I was going through my ridiculously large and totally unnecessary
collection of data sticks.
I came across some archived posts from this group (hopefully you can
see them via this link at postimg).
I'm pleasantly surprised by how many posters are still positing 17+
years later.

Gee, I've been here that long!
The oldest post that I have found (so far) attributed to anyone that
still posts now, using the same name, is - you'd probably guess that
it was Spalls of course. I found it in my sent items from a very old
instance of Agent

Anyone else having problems with this game?
I've experienced crashes at random times. But more frustrating is the
poor performance on my system. It's like a slide show when there's
lots of flames and muzzle flashes. There also a lot of crackling
sounds which I suspect might also be contributing to the poor
performance.
I played The Suffering on 1280 x 960 with absolutely no problems.
I am playing TTB set at 1024 x 768 and it is unplayable in some
places. It looks like the same engine, with some enhancements.
Certainly shouldn't need a monster system to run it judging by the
very average graphics.
My system is:
P4 3GHZ
ATi X700 Pro PCI-E 256MB (Cats 5.10)
1.5 GB 3200 DDR
SB Live! 24 Bit
XP Home (SP2)
Both F.E.A.R. and Quake 4 play just fine on that PC so it has be
something to do with TTB.
I hope there is a patch soon that addresses the crashes and bugs as
well as fixes any performance issues.
