It's the middle of the month, so you know what that means; let's all drag our asses back to Amazon Prime to see what games are on tap this time.
* Death Squared (via GOG) A co-op (but single-player is an option) puzzle game where you need to move your cube across trapped and guarded grid without dying. Honestly, the gameplay doesn't look all that exciting to me, but neither does it look bad; it just doesn't stick out as anything novel or exciting. I gotta love the honesty of the Steam store page though: "I don't think anything you read here will push you over the edge. [but we] asked our mum and she said it's awesome." So points for that alone.
* Mordheim: City of the Damned (via GOG) An adaptation of the Games Workshop tabletop game. Lead your warband in turn-based combat against a ruthless RNG. A bit lackluster in single-player, apparently the game is a lot of fun with friends online, but the GOG version lacks that functionality (you do get some extra DLC though).
* The Abandoned Planet (via Amazon) A traditional point-n-click adventure game with retro- styled artwork. It's a bit slow-paced.
* Station to Station (via Amazon) Take "Railroad Tycoon", give it much nicer visuals, a much smaller scale, and add a dash of deck building and mobile gaming with a flair of tabletop, and you get "Station-to-Station". It's pretty, though.
* Lost Ashford Ring (via Legacy) You don't think we'd get out of this experience without yet-another-hidden-object game, did you? DID YOU?!?
Ehn. It's a variety of average quality games, all of which appeal to different types of gamers. Nothing necessarily in the collection to avoid, but neither anything to rush out to acquire either. Take the ones you like, avoid the rest. After all, you know they will be more in a couple of weeks.
