It's been two-weeks (or close enough that nobody will notice) so I'm
allowed to do another one of these posts! Let us all again kneel at
the altar of Bezos and see what blessings he shits upon us! ;-)

* Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (via GOG)
May is "Star Wars" month, so expect a bunch of these sort
of games to make the rounds as freebies in the next few
weeks. This is the original trilogy of Lego Star Wars games
(not the recently released 'Skywalker Saga' remake) but
that's okay; they're still good games, even if they're a bit
old. The entire series does get a bit tiresome, but if you're
in the mood for a quick bit of childish platforming fun, these
are a great way to unwind. Who doesn't like watching JarJar
    explode into his component pieces?

* Lego Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga (via GOG)
Not the better "Empire at War" real-time strategy game, but
still a pretty fun (if somewhat retro) experience. Utilizing
the old "Age of Empires" engine, it's pretty much just a Star
Wars skin applied to that classic game. It's not very
innovative but it's good -if not particularly challenging-
    fun.

* Styx: master of Shadows (via GOG)
A fantasy stealth/action game where the protagonist is a
goblin. It's a fairly solid B-tier game; not great but
enjoyable. It's not heavy into the stealth either (although
its a lot easier if you lean into Styx's sneakiness), so
don't let that keep you from giving the game a try.

* Thief Gold (via GOG)
The aging classic, well-regarded for a reason but -if I'm
being honest- not that much fun to play for a modern gamer.
It's importance is that it showed this sort of stealth
gameplay was a viable mechanic, but being the forerunner
it's quite clunky in how it does things. There are better
stealth games to actually play, but I appreciate this one
    for its historical aspects.

* The Last Spell (via GOG)
    A turn-based action/strategy game with a fantasy motif.
Defend your town against incoming hordes; upgrade your
defenses and defenders between battles. It's sort of
    a slower-paced tower-defense game.

* Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (via GOG)
The third-person action/adventure game from the
Playstation 1 days. It's a perfectly acceptable game
(if increasingly dated in production values) and one
held in high acclaim by many, but it is not one I've
any real nostalgia for. There were lots of similar games
on PC at the time, and "Blood Omen" never stood out from
the crowd... at least not to me. If you can get past
the game's age, I think it still holds up pretty well...
but even so it's never more than a B-tier game. Good,
    not great.

* Beserk Boy (via GOG)
    A metroidvania-style platformer, obviously taking a lot
from Mega Man. It's got the usual retro-throwback visuals
but ultimately it's still mostly just a run-n-jump
platformer. Reviews aren't that favorable towards it,
though; at best, it's considered a mediocre example of
    the genre.

* Wild Country (via GOG)
At first I thought this was the mostly forgotten 1999
tank-shooter "Wild Metal Country", and was excited because
I like seeing old games getting a second chance. But, alas,
this is another animal-based card game. Too cutesy for me,
and I've no interest in its mechanics.

* Gloomhaven (via EPIC)
Three years ago I described this as a "fantasy turn-based
action/RPG board-game thingee", and explained I had no
idea what the actual game itself was like. Now in 2025, I
can happily report that I still have no idea. So I'll just
copy the game's description from the store page and let
you figure it out yourself: "Lead your band of mercenaries
in the land of Gloomhaven, work with unsavoury individuals,
shape the fate of the region, fight your way through
horrific places and get rich or die trying in this
    ruthless Tactical-RPG."

* Troublemaker (via EPIC)
    A third-person action/brawler; wander around school and
beat up the bullies. Am I the only person who didn't have
such a horrific school experience that these fantasies
have absolutely no appeal to me?

* Fashion Police Squad (via EPIC)
A retro-graphic 'boomer shooter' where you shoot people who
wear unfashionable clothes. A stupid concept married to
an unimpressive game, whose main appeal seems to be its
try-hard edginess rather than good gameplay. Meh.

* The Last Show of Mr. Chardish (via EPIC)
    A first-person action/adventure. Explore various fantastical
words looking for magical items. Not quite as challengeless
as a 'walking simulator' but not very difficult and much more
focused on story and atmosphere than gameplay.

* Priest Simulator: Vampire Show (via Epic)
A bad first-person action game, that they defend by calling
it a 'mockumental' (think "Goat Simulator" for a similar
experience). Personally, rather than putting all the awful
tropes into their game to make fun of the problems in other
FPS games, I'd rather they just create a good game. But
    maybe that's just me.

* The Invisible Hand (via Amazon)
A work-play sim; take on the role of a stock-broker and build
up your company. Just as awful as all the other workplace sims,
like "Grocery Simulator" or "Gas Station Simulator"; same
god awful engine, assets and gameplay. I love the genre; I
just wish it wasn't dominated by some many of these half-baked
    cash-ins.

* New York Mysteries (via Legacy)
It wouldn't be an Amazon give-away without the expected
'hidden object' game. So here it is.

Well, there are a lot of games this time around; at least we can say
that much in favor of it. A few are actually playable too. But there's
enough variety that we can disagree as to which ones are 'fluff' and
which are actually 'good'. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves on
the topic. ;-)

This was fun. Let's do it again in two weeks!
