And we're back. Miss me? Probably not. Miss the free games? Of course;
who doesn't like a freebie? Well, worry not; there are a couple of new
freebies on Epic today. Let's see what's on tap.

* Empyrion: Galactic Survival
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/empyrion-galactic-survival-fbd99f
    Sometimes you _can_ judge a book by its cover (or a
    game by its title). If you saw the name of the game and
    said, "that sounds like a completely average survival/
     sandbox/crafting game except set in a sci-fi setting",
    then -ding ding ding- you win the kewpie doll. Wander
    around in space, collecting resources, and building up
    your base. It's an okay game, but except for the setting
    (which isn't really original either) it's got nothing any
    of the hundreds of similar games have. If you enjoyed "The
    Raft" or "Space Engineers" or "No Man's Sky" or the like,
    well, here's another one just like it.  But if you want
    something novel, well, maybe look elsewhere.

* Outliver: Tribulation
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/outliver-tribulations-679884
    Sometimes you _can_ judge a book by its cover (or a
    game by its title). If you saw the name of the game
    and said, "that sounds like a completely average survival
    horror game" then... wait, you already have a kewpie doll?
    How'd that happen? Anyway, it's a decent enough title;
    it's most notable gimmick is that its horrors are vaguely
    based upon African mythology. Beyond that, it's pretty
    Resident Evil, with maybe a touch of Souls-like gameplay
    (albeit more focused on ranged than melee combat). Still,
    very run-of-the-mill.  But if you want some spookiness
    in your October, this isn't a bad  game to creep around
    in the dark with.

So, there we go; two solid B-tier games. Not great, not must-haves,
but if you like their respective genres, you'll probably be satisfied
with either or both. You've the usual week to claim the games on Epic,
after which they're no longer free. So don't dally. I'll see you with
the next announcement in a week. Try not to miss me too much ;-)
