Dear Publishers,

Can we /please/ stop with the "this game uses automatic savepoints and
this icon will flash on your screen when it happens, press button to
continue" message at the start of every game?

WE KNOW.

This has been a thing for twenty plus years. An entire generation has
grown up with this capability. You don't need to tell us anymore. You
especially don't need to remind us each time the game loads. You
especially especially don't need to wait for us to acknowledge this
fact by pushing a button.

I swear, this stupid prompt is annoying me more than the endless
parade of logo movies. At least those are telling me something new.
Not every game is made by the same team after all. But that auto-save
notification prompt? That's always the same.

So quit it.

Anyone who's played a video game since the year 2000.
Honestly, I don't fully get why they even flash an icon anymore. Unless
you only have one file internally and keep writing over it, there isn't
much risk for file corruption..
