I had this game in my backlog for some time, and I refused to let it go.
Unfortunately, I ended hateplaying it. Beautiful presentation and the
kind of "hd" pixel art that makes you impulse purchase, but the gameplay
and story are not up with the rest, to the point it ended reminding me
of those 16 bit disney games.

Dang. The only "hd pixel art" game I can think of would be like Octopath
Traveller.

- Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers (NES, PS4 Disney Afternoon Collection):
One of those games that I had been wanting to beat for some time.
Biggest difficulty comes from the lack of an instruction booklet. I was
struggling with the final stages until I downloaded a scan and fount
there's a mechanic I did not know about.

Huh, why did you want to beat it?

- Quake Remastered (PC, Base game)
The freebie you would receive if you already owned Quake on Steam. It's
KEX engine rather than ID tech, but it plays nicely and you don't need
to have the CD inside to hear the music. I spend 2 days playing non stop
untill In finished the 4 episodes of the original retail release.

Neat! I've never beaten Quake.

- Kirby and The Forgotten Land (Switch)
You know you got things right on the first time when the game is still
1.0, there never was a day one patch and you don't find a single bug in
the entire playthrough. First Kirby with 3d movement that is not some
weird arena fighting game. Better than expected, although the new
controls and pseudo autoaim may show its shortcomings on the hardest
challenge levels

Wait, really? Even Star Allies had a day one patch, I think..

Other games that I played a bit, but dropped or postponed:
- God of War Ragnarok (PS5)
Something is weird with that game. After a few minutes I started getting
extreme discomfort, my eyes start itching, headaches and I need to stop,
feeling in a state of irritability for some time. It's like sensorial
overload or something, like straining to see the 4K downscaled to a 40"
1080p. Has to be something with the detail level, because this has only
happened to me with native PS5 games like Ragnarok and Stellar Blade.
FFVII Rebirth is ok for me.

- Clannad:
Not a lot to say. It's a japanese visual novel, and the point where the
developer decided that porn was innecesary to sell it, so it's just a
normal, all ages interactive book.

Interesting. I'm not one for visual novels (besides phoenix wright) so

-Classics:
I got one of those fake Nintendo NES consoles, the horrible nes on a
chip type that is missing the triangle sound channel. Sitll had a blast
with it playing Blue Shadow (Shadow of the Ninja, but at that time there
was a problem with the brits and the word "ninja"), Darkwing Duck,
Adventure Island 3... I need to play a few of those in the Mesen core.
