That would be a neon sign inviting topic drift. Topic drift doesn't
need any help, it is already invincible.
I wasn't really being serious but on the topic of OT. I think a degree
of it is welcome as long as people don't abuse it by swamping the group
with their own pet issue and people general avoid contentious subjects
such as politics and religion. That seems to be what happens here.
There was a couple of posters over at the PC wargaming NG that used to
bring their somewhat obnoxious political views in at the drop of a hat.
I just found it ruined the group. The one I now find annoying is people
who think everybody is interested in US politics!
Argh. I come to csipga to *escape* politics (US or otherwise). Let's
talk about games!
