Definitely not my thing. While I can admire the game from a technical
standpoint - getting it to run on a 6502 is impressive! - I find that
style of game just too repetitive for my liking. I've always needed
narrative and purpose beyond getting a high score to keep my interest.
And - nice as the soundtrack is - the lack of variety in music would
drive me mad in short order. Just listening to it for five minutes on
the video and I'm tired of it already. I can't imagine playing an
entire game listening to that same track repeating endlessly...
Actually it is a game fallen out of time, it would have made huge waves in the 1980s! Sure no story and short gameplay, but you do not play it longer than 15-20 minutes anyway! Arcade style games have this tendency!
