Yeah, it's that time again. Amazon 'gives away'* some games, so the
least we can do is talk about them here. This time we have on tap the
following games:

* Fallout 76 (both XBox and PC versions)
Given Amazon's recent TV show (and all the other Fallout
games released previously on Prime) this one is no
surprise. Fallout 76 is tremendously improved over its
release, but in the end it still is an MMORPG version
of a single-player game, ultimately leaving people in
both camps feeling a bit disappointed. Meh. It's good
to have it just for completionist's sake.
>
* Chivalry 2 (via Epic)
One of the best games for smacking your friends with a
sword. Nice visuals, solid melee combat, epic battles.
Server populations are low, though, but maybe this
freebie will help with that.
>
>
* Demon's Tilt (via Epic)
A pinball game crossed with a shoot-em-up. Very neon.
A bit too hyper-kinetic for my liking, but I imagine
this game has a number of hardcore fans, and well
deserved too.
>
* Black Desert
Another fantasy MMORPG. "Fun but grindy" seems to
be the general opinion. It looks pretty, but MMORPGs
have never been too attractive to me.
>
* Drawn: Trail of Shadows
A traditional-style adventure game with luscious,
almost water-color like visuals. I remember playing
the first game of the series and being underwhelmed
by the story and gameplay. This one doesn't seem
to offer much different. Fun if you're craving
something from the adventure genre, but not
very desirous otherwise.
>
* Rose Riddle: The Fairy Tale Detective (via Legacy)
I honestly don't know. Even watching the trailer video
and reading the game description, I really have no idea
what this game is about. Is it strategy? Puzzle?
Adventure? Maybe it's a revolutionary new game, maybe
it's Indie trash. I'm not sure I'll ever find out,
though.

A mixed bag. Nothing sticks out as terrible, which is an improvement
over many of Amazon's previous give-aways. It /almost/ makes the cost
of Prime worth paying.

* so long as you 'give away' some of your money to Amazon for its
Prime service
I didn't know Prime gave free games.
