Elden Ring's DLC is "Mixed" at 63% on Steam

Shadow of the Erdtree isn't faring well on Steam user ratings.
Bugs, glitches, people complaining it's too hard (far more of this) or too easy.
I don't even have it, but I've been hit by one of the bugs.  Co-op is sometimes causing me to get kicked from the game with a message "Inappropriate Activity Detected."
I've been able to get back in immediately fortunately, but others haven't been so lucky, and can't even launch the game.  Apparently it's been going on since release day, even though I just started running into it today.
I think I'm being summoned as a blue (aid against invader) to the DLC, which since I don't have can't be there.  I can't prove it of course as I just get the message that I'm being summoned right before I get kicked.
There's apparently a number of other bugs and glitches associated with it as well.
