Very little needs be said about this one. The Tropico
series has been so long running, you likely know what
it is all about. Rule a tropical island as undisputed
dictator, and make of it what you will: vacation
paradise, socialist sanctuary, or third-world hellhole.
This fourth game is more of a refinement than anything
else; new maps, a few new buildings, improvements to
the trading system and disasters, but still the same
old game. If you liked the formula introduced with
the earlier games, you'll like this one too. If Tropico
1-3 didn't hook you, I doubt you'll become a fan with
number 4.
The game is free-to-keep so long as you claim it on GOG within the
next three days. Don't wait too long, El Presidente!
I played number 3 and thought it was ok but I can't say I really enjoyed it. A shame really as it was genre I used to like having spent many hours playing both Caesar III and Pharaoh.
