I quit playing Diablo 4 because there were strangers in my games even
though I set it otherwise.  I am a strictly single player game person.

FWIW: EDO has "solo" mode, where you won't run into any other players.

It's still "online" though, since whatever you do affects the game's
galaxy.

It also has a kind of in-between mode, "player group", where you'll only
see people in the player group you're signed on with.  Some people use
this to avoid the gankers, including those participating in the "Mobius"
PG, which is PVE, but you might run into other "Mobius" players.
