Capitalism doesn't exist in a vacuum. The society, thru its government, regulates and dictates the ground rules for capitalism to operate. And the current American "ground rules" are being pushed more and more _away_ from competition. Look up The Gilded Age in the US and realize that we are entering a second Gilded Age.
