Looks awesome from what little I can see.

I still might consider it after it's been out awhile and the space
combat still looks good and it's not all guilds and raids and shit that
require time commitments.
Honestly, just from a technical front I have to say I'm underwhelmed
by the trailer. It simply doesn't LOOK all that impressive. Especially
given the nominal connection to Emerich, you'd think they'd go for a
more cinematic reveal, but instead they chose to use in-game assets
for everything. It greatly reduces the impact.
Not that I think Emmerich had any real impact on the game, beyond
lending his name and some of his design sensibilities. And even if he
did, I wouldn't really see that as anything to get too excited about,
since a) I don't think Emmerich's style is particularly unique, and b)
he's not a game designer, and asking somebody who's specialty is in
movies to make game design choices is just asking for trouble.
Also, I immediately turn cynical when I see that one of the hyped
reasons to play this game is that it 'leverages thes power of AI and
Cloud Gaming'. Three years ago this sort of game probably would have
been hyping up that it offered NFTs. That single line in the trailer
cost me more confidence in the game than anything else I saw.

Ugh, I missed that.

Beyond that, I can't really make any comment. Partly because I've know
real information about the game beyond what little the trailer showed
(which, despite using game assets, showed very little actual
gameplay), but also because I'm no expert - or fan - of MMORPGs.
I do like me some space combat sims which is more what it looked to be from the trailer, which is the only thing that interested me.  If I want to fight other players in space in an MMO there's SW:tOR though along with all the rest that does fairly well and in SW too.  Still up and running.
I'm mildly curious about this one though, much less so after the cloud and AI remark though.
