Why, I'm almost becoming reliable with these announcements! Don't
expect that to last!

* Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords
Wait, this game hasn't been offered as a freebie
yet? Apparently not. The first game was offered
back in 2023, but it's only now that we're getting
KOTOR2. Not that I'm complaining; although many
people claim this the better game, I never cared
for the sequel as much. While it was arguably a
deeper and more sophisticated story, it didn't
/feel/ like Star Wars. And that's before taking
all the bugs and missing content caused by the
game's rushed development. Still, I'll happily
     add yet-another-copy to my library.

* Samurai Bringer
     An action rogue-like hack-n-slasher; kill
monsters until you die then respawn and try
again (skills are retained on death). Honestly,
the game itself looks somewhat interesting,
but I'm having a hard time getting past the
blocky presentation. Its use of a procedurally
generated world doesn't inspire me to play
     either.

* Wall World
     "Terraria" crossed with an arcade shooter;
guide your mechanical wall-crawler up a
mountain wall, exit it to explore caves and
harvest resources, then use those to upgrade
your machine to fight off swarms of incoming
baddies. I'd probably be more excited about
this game if I liked games like "Terraria"
     or shooters in general.

* Alex Kidd in the Miracle World DX (via EPIC)
After long decades, Alex Kidd (Sega's attempt at a
mascot before they hit gold with Sonic) returns in
a new platform game... and I couldn't care less.
Smash rocks, collect coins, and butt-bounce on
baddies. I never cared for that style of game
back in the 90s and I don't really like them now.

* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Shredder's Revenge (via EPIC)
The pizza-loving turtles are back, in an arcade
platformer/ hack-n-slasher that recaptures not only
the feel of the old cartoons but also the Nintendo
games that followed. I'd be excited except I detested
the franchise, the games bored me, and while I can
admire this reboot for its passion for the old
source material, it doesn't actually make me want
     to play it.

* Tearstone: Thieves of the Heart CE (via Legacy)
Normally, I'd do at least a minimum of research on
these games to see what they're all about, but rather
than do even that minimum of effort I'm just going to
assume this is yet-another of Legacy Game's long line
of hidden-object adventure games which I've no
interest in and will never play. I might be wrong
about that... but I don't think I am.

Well... this is an unusual selection; normally I can find SOME value
in Amazon's offerings but this time? Nope. Sure, I'm taking the Star
Wars game but I'm never going to PLAY it. And it's not even that I
think the games are /bad/; they're just none of them to my taste.

Oh well; can't win them all. We'll see what happens in two weeks.
Surely there will be something interesting on the list then!
