I find it marginally faster and easier to navigate the client,
although that's probably more subjective than objective.

Still, I don't have a problem with providing the URL; if anything,
it's easier for others who want directly to the free game rather than
opening the client, scrolling down to the 'free game' section, etc.
Just double-click the link and you're there.

It's just that -since I use the client- it requires an extra step for
me to add it in (especially since the Epic client doesn't make the url
for the free game's page visible, unlike Steam, so I have to search
for it on the web first. Just another reason the Epic client sucks).
And like I said; I'm lazy. I'll skip extra steps if I can. ;-)

But I totally agree with Ant's original chastisement; the URL should
be included in the notification.

It doesn't mean I don't get to be snarky about it, though. ;-)
