Once again we are cursed to prowl the depths of the Epic Game store in
our quest for free games. What horrors will we encounter on our
journey? What treasures await us?
This 'treasure' awaits us:
* Lumbearjack

That's LumBEARjack, 'cause you're a lumberjack AND a bear! It's
supposed to be funny, I think? Maybe? I dunno; I don't think this is a
game designed for me. You take on the role of a bear with an axe but,
instead of chopping down trees, you destroy human artifacts to clean
up nature. It's got an animal mascot, those cutesy retro-Indie
visuals, and nothing about this game says 'play me!' Reviews say its
short and sweet, with uncomplicated and addictive gameplay, but
neither its simplistic gameplay nor story nor presentation appeal to
me. I guess maybe it's a good game. I don't expect I'll ever find out
for myself, though. Pass.
Not every freebie on Epic is a winner. Sometimes you plumb the
dungeons of EGS and all you get is vendor-trash. But isn't it the
delve itself that makes it all worth it? No? You're just here for the
free games, you say? Oh well. Come back in seven days and we'll see
what's up for offer next.
