They probably aren't going to like trying to collect those computers/ losing money after people have it and quit paying the next month. They aren't as easy to repossess as cars. I guess the appliance/furniture rental places manage somehow though. Although I haven't seen rent-to-buy places in a long time.

Overall I don't see this is much different than other computer rental
scams (I mean offerings) that are designed for people with fucked up
credit who can't qualify to finance one and are bad at math.
