The game seems pretty solid and is well reviewed, but then I see the
dreaded words "deckbuilder mechanic" and I lose all interest.

I loved Gwent in "The Witcher 3", but I also hate it because -while it
didn't create deckbuilding mechanics- it greatly popularized it to the
point it's being added to every game these days. Arguably, that
mechanic has more reason to be in a game like Thronebreaker than many
others, but still... I'd be much happier if I didn't see the words
"deckbuilder" in what seems to be 25% of all new games.
