What do you think; does the Final Fantasy series have a future as a
tent-pole franchise for Square Enix, or should they perhaps
re-evaluate the direction (and scope) they are going with these games?
I heard the latest one is not much of an RPG and is more of an action
game. Maybe this is turning people off to the game? I have no idea
otherwise.
Trying to get into the 'Soulslike' craze that seems to be catching wind lately I wonder?
The only one I ever played was the 7th one and I absolutely loved it
but I doubt this latest one plays anything like that one so I have no
interest in it personally.
I played a bit of one of them, 9, 10, 11 I don't remember. It was o.k. but I got bored and didn't finish it, I don't think I even got very far Never tried any of the others, though I've been tempted to try 7 since that's the one everyone raves about.
I guess I'm not much of a JRPG player. The only even close to JRPG one I ever finished was the little indy one Breath of Death. I also liked Knights of Pen and Paper, but that's probably not close enough to a JRPG really, I also never finished it either.
