Second mission. First mission is 90% tutorial & intro, with 3 alien
"humans" to kill at the end of it.

It can be played multiplayer with password too, if you do get into it
I'd be happy to come kill some bugs and *spoilers* with you. It does
limit armor and weapons found later/harder missions somewhat on
multiplayer, but not enough to matter on easy or normal, but enough that
I couldn't come in and just carpet bomb everything... probably.

Thank you so much Justisaur again, and with all your help with Elden
Ring also.
I don't think I want to get started with a Multiplayer game. Not
willing to put in the hours to be able to stand a chance with one.
No problem. It's got 3 modes. Single player, which you can play just fine, 2-player local play, and up to 4 player online multiplayer.
EDF 5 made online multiplayer a must if you were Steam achievement hunting, but that's it. The online mode is much much harder if you don't have full group of 4 though, so thinking about it wouldn't be a good idea for 2 player online anyway.
EDF 6 got rid of multiplayer achievement hunting. I haven't touched online multiplayer, just 2 player local with my daughter (who's really a gamer, she occasionally plays some piano game on her phone and beat saber on VR, and Duolingo) She played a good bit of 5 on her own on easy mode, so it's definitely not too hard.
6 is a bit more modern, and feels a bit better to me than 5, More QoL. I like the story much better, but it is a bit more confusing. The graphics aren't amazing, as they went for quantity over quality allowing them to have hundreds of enemies on screen.
Here's mission 8 I was talking about at the time the horde of ants starts coming. This is on hard though, would be much easier on easy :)

Still playing Mass Effect Andromeda. I'm on standard difficulty, and it was pretty hard to begin with. It's getting easier, but I've died somewhat often, reload from the last save and almost always beat the enemies. Haven't found a good guide for the low levels. There's not a lot you can do at low levels build/weapon wise though, don't have the skill points, money, blueprints, or resources yet. I haven't tried easy, but I've certainly not felt I need to increase the difficulty as I'm often ending larger fights badly injured and/or out of ammo.
There's been a couple crazy bosses too, one the size of a small skyscraper. I didn't die to him, but I completely ran out of ammo and he was barely injured. I reloaded, build a new weapon and was able to beat it, but it probably took me 40 minutes of pinging away at it, and finding ammo dumps to pull ammo from.
