I gotta admit, it really feels these days like Epic is scraping the
bottom of the barrel for its freebies. Is the Fortnite Fund running
low? Here's what we get this month:
* Invincible Presents Atom Eve
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/atom-eve-ff090d A repeat of a game released earlier this year, in March.
It's an adventure game with some tactical combat mechanics
tacked on, all done up in a comic book style. Meh.
* Kardboard Kings: Card Shop Simulator
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/kardboard-kings-0962f8 A "business sim" where you manage a trading-card shop.
Fairly unimpressive example of the genre, with the only
difference is the inclusion of a card-game you can play
against the AI customers. I suppose if you're really into
MTG-type games this might have some appeal, but as for me,
I've little interest.
Even the lure of The Number can't interest me in these titles. Well,
maybe next week will be more interesting.
