So tempting, but I can't play with my old PC hardwares. :( Maybe I will

I'm surprised the "Deluxe Edition" doesn't come with the 2002 game
included. That will probably have to wait for the Ultra Platinum Super
Edition.
Still, kudos to GOG (and Microids) for putting another brand new game
on the service without DRM (even if it is a few days after the Steam
release). Too many publishers are terrified of the spectre of 'pIrAcY'
to make that leap so quickly.
Considering how quickly the years go by, waiting a few of them for a
game to get really cheap (or even free) is a viable strategy as far as
I am concerned.
All the more since --thanks to a surplus of freebies in the past--
none of us should be /lacking/ in games to play. Sure, I might not be
playing the latest-and-greatest right now, but I have a backlog you
wouldn't believe* that can keep me busy for weeks... months...
years... decades!
Although I can get away with it because, being so curmudgeonly, I'm
less dependent on others for fun. If you're big into the multiplayer
scene, then its more important to stay up to date so that you and your
friends all have the same game. And in order to play said game before
the master server gets shut down...
