I was waiting for this one. Not this game in particular, but a free
game from GOG. They started their autumn (or whatever excuse they're
using this time) sale a few days ago, and I said to myself, 'What, no
free game to celebrate?' Well, it's here now. Let's go see what it is.

* Oaken

   It's a hex-based, turn-based strategy game with cutesy
   graphics and a deck-building mechanic. If you've read enough
   of my free-game announcements, you can guess my opinion on
   the game already! But it's probably fine; I mean, it's got
   'very positive' reviews on Steam (although I should note
   this freebie is on GOG. It's just easier to read up about
   the game on Steam when I do these announcements ;-). What I
   am trying to say is that just because I'm not excited about
   the game doesn't mean you shouldn't be. Give it a try; it's
   free!

The offer's only good for three days (a little less, depending on when
you read this post). Grab it, or don't; I get paid the same either
way!
