And we're back /again/. I mean, I shouldn't really be complaining
about getting more free games, but this is getting ridiculous! I can't
keep up! Fortunately, this week's selection is a lot smaller than the
previous ones.

* Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II (via Amazon)
I mean, we should have expected this one after we got
the original "Dawn of War" last week. Amazon loves sequels!
And this one is a good one, even if it doesn't really add
much to the gameplay. It just took the original and gave it
a nice polish. Again, its not clear if this game includes
all the expansions or not (I suspect it doesn't) and it's
also single-player only for some reason. Still worth
    grabbing, though.

* Hero's Hour (via GOG)
This one is a throwback to the classic "Heroes of Might &
Magic" games, albeit a bit more action-oriented than the
classics. Personally, I think I'm happier sticking with
the originals, but if you don't happen to have those in
your library, this one looks good too.

* Planet of Lana (via GOG)
Tell me if you've heard this before: an Indie game with
good-looking, if stylized graphics, that sends a small
child -- via a side-view platforming adventure-- through
a vaguely apocalyptic world filled with monsters that
will give them a gruesome death if they're caught. Don't
get me wrong, I think "Planet of Lana" looks quite nice,
but man I wish Indie devs would find a new theme.

* The Coma: Recut (via GOG)
A remastered version of a horror adventure game. It might
be good --personally, I'm having a hard-time getting past
its paper cut-out visuals-- but its marred by game-stopping
bugs that the devs apparently aren't bothering to fix.
The scariest thing about the game is that you can't finish
    it, apparently.

* ReDrawn: The Painted Tower Collector's Edition (via Amazon)
A remaster of the Painted Tower trilogy of games. I only
paid the first game in the series, and that was so long ago
I actually bought it from a retail store on CD-ROM. My
memories are that while this adventure game had some nice
visuals, it severely lacked in the gameplay department,
with tedious pixel-hunt puzzles and a lack of content. But
    maybe the remaster is better?

That's it for now. I think the flood is slowing down, so hopefully I
won't have to revisit the site until January. Can you imagine I'm
actually hoping for less games? What a weird world we live in.
